Privacy
What it keeps
- Your email address, the name an admin entered for you, your role and your groups. That is how the wiki knows who may sign in and what they may see.
- From Google, only your email address and your Google account's ID, which ties you to one Google account. The wiki doesn't ask Google for your name, photo or anything else.
- When you last used the wiki, and a log of sign-ins and of changes admins make to people, groups and pages.
- What you write: pages, every earlier version of them, and the files you upload. Images lose their hidden details (such as location) when uploaded. Videos and PDFs are kept as they are, so export them without location first.
- Two cookies that keep you signed in: one while you sign in, and your session, which ends after 7 days without a visit and after 30 days at most. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Where it is kept
The wiki runs on Cloudflare. Its database and files are stored in the EU. Google handles the sign-in. Cloudflare sees the address each request comes from, to protect the site from abuse; the wiki itself doesn't store it.
Who can see it
- People signed in see the names of who wrote and changed the pages they can open.
- Only admins see email addresses, the list of people and groups, and the log.
- The wiki doesn't sell or share any of it, and shows no ads.
How long
- Pages and their history stay until an admin deletes them. Deleted pages go to the Trash, where admins can restore them.
- When you leave, an admin turns your access off. Your name stays on what you wrote. Backups of the database keep earlier copies for a limited time.
